In 2015, I received my B.S. Degree in Science with an Emphasis in Early Childhood Education from East Tennessee State University. 

Experience

I have had the opportunity to teach third grade at Carter's Valley for six years. I have taught Science and Social Studies. This will be my second year teaching reading and I am very excited. From 2017-2019, I was a teacher for the Read to be Ready Summer Camp at CVES. We would have many fun activities and combine them with our love of reading. We always learned so much with the campers that attended. I love being in the classroom with the students. They make being a teacher so much fun. I also couldn't ask for a better place to work. Carter's Valley has very hardworking and dedicated teachers and it is a privilege to work with each and every one of them.

Bio

I have attended Hawkins County Schools my entire life. I went to McPheeter's Bend Elementary, Church Hill Middle School, and Volunteer High School. I have lived in this area my entire life and I could not imagine being anywhere else. I am married to my husband, Ryan, and we have one daughter named Kairi. We have had so much fun watching her grow and learn so many new things each day. I also have two nieces named Leighton and Kinsley. They are two of my best friends. Family plays an important role in my life and I could not ask for a better family. Some of my favorite places I have visited are Paris, France,and Spain. I traveled through Europe when I was in high school and it was a once in a lifetime experience. Some of my favorite movies include Beauty and the Beast and the Harry Potter series. I love reading. My favorite books to read are the Harry Potter series and I also love books with a mystery.
